NEW RELEASE from Crimson Tree Publishing:
SWEET CONTRADICTION by Peggy Martinez

AVAILABLE TODAY!

Genre: New Adult Sweet Romance
Release Date: August 26, 2014
Content Rating: Mature

When Beth Michaels hightailed it out of the hole-in-the-road town she grew up in, she only had two goals. One—get as far away as quickly as possible, and two—never set foot in her parent’s home again. But when she receives a heart breaking call from her childhood best friend, Jen, she has no choice but to turn her ’56 Ford pickup back in the direction of Salem, Missouri to attend a funeral.

There’s a new local in town when Beth arrives, and suddenly, it ain’t all that easy for her to remember her rules for dating.
#1. Cookie-cutter-perfect guys ain’t her type.
#2. Tie wearin’ and church frequentin’ is an automatic dismissal.
#3. Most importantly, never date anyone from small minded, conservative, Bible-thumping towns like Salem.

Unfortunately, Matthew Wright breaks all her rules and then some.

Matt might be from a small town and have small town values, but that doesn’t mean he fits into a little slot of Beth’s preconceived notions. After all, ever so often good guys are good. Now if he could just convince Beth to let go of her past and give him a chance, he’s pretty sure there’s a whole lotta sweet under that prickly exterior.

His own … Sweet Contradiction.

NEW RELEASE-
CURRENT IMPRESSIONS by Kelly Risser
(Book #2 in The Never Forgotten Series)

After an emotionally draining year, Meara Quinn is not the same carefree and innocent girl. Her mom is gone. Graduation is over. Taking a leap of faith and temporarily separating from her one love—Evan—Meara joins her father's world on a journey to learn more about who she is.

Too bad life is not all starfish and seashells. Meara gains magical abilities, but she’s forced to undergo intense training so she knows what to do with them. Her father chooses her aunt and Kieran as her trainers. And Kieran—a powerful male who's not from their clan—has the unnerving ability to infuriate and intrigue Meara at the same time.

While Meara begins her new life, Evan endures with her memory and the knowledge that he will see her in July when his internship begins. Although excited about gaining real world experience, it’s the thought of seeing Meara that really drives him. Unfortunately, Evan finds it hard to focus on anything when he’s suffering from vivid nightmares and screaming headaches.

When Meara and Evan reunite, everything seems to fall back into place. The summer appears to be perfect. Then two of her father’s guards are found dead, and foul play is suspected. The façade melts away. Someone is targeting them, and Meara must discover who it is and why. She turns to Evan to help her, but when he gives her the hot and cold treatment, she's left feeling alone and confused.

As the puzzle pieces move into place, will Meara be able to solve the mystery in time to save her clan and her relationship?

How can one day go so very wrong? One minute Meara Quinn is making plans for how she will spend the Summer before her senior year and the next she's finding out that her mother's cancer has returned and they are moving away from the only home she's ever known.

Now every day is a struggle as Meara is trying to cope with her mother's illness, being forced to move to another country to live with grandparents—whom she thought disowned her mother—and having weird visions of a father who was absent her entire life. Top it all off with one whopping secret that everyone seems bent on keeping from her, and Meara has the perfect ingredients for a major melt down.

The only things keeping her from coming unglued are some new friends and Evan—the son of her mother's childhood friend—who seems to know Meara almost better than she knows herself.

Together with Evan and her friends, Meara embarks on a new journey to unlock the secrets that will not only tell Meara who she is, but whatshe is.

A NOTE FROM KELLY RISSER:

10% of July's profits for Never Forgotten and Current Impressions will be donated to Susan G. Komen.

Never Forgotten is a fantasy novel, but it deals with a very real issue. Early in the story, Meara learns that her mother’s cancer has returned. While I’d rather tell you that I didn’t draw inspiration from personal experiences, the truth is, I did. Shortly before my husband and I got married, my mother-in-law (MIL) was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was hard to watch her fight for her life. Her hair fell out, and she became so thin. I remember hugging her and feeling every bone in her back. It was the first time I’d seen a human body in such a fragile state.

My MIL had an amazingly positive outlook. She lived to find joyous moments in the ordinary. She kept a journal, traveled, and visited with friends. The cancer went into remission. Unfortunately, it returned five years later, this time in her abdomen and surrounding organs. With a diagnosis of six months to two years, she passed away within two months, just shy of her 60th birthday. Her name was Sharon.

Yes, Meara’s mom is named after her. It’s one small way for me to keep her memory alive. The other way I want to do this requires your help. We all know the statistics about breast cancer, but I want to stress the important role you play in your health. The year prior to her first diagnosis, my MIL had a mammogram and a spot showed in the screening. Her doctor told her it was small, probably nothing. He would follow up in twelve months. She took his word and waited. When she went in for the second mammogram, it had grown tremendously. A biopsy proved it was cancer. Had she pushed for a biopsy right away, she might still be here today. With a year to grow, the cancer moved into too many of her lymph nodes.

My message to women is this—if you are a man, please share this message with the women close to you: do regular self-exams, starting now. You’re never too young or too old. If you're 40 years old or have a family history of cancer, get regular mammograms. Don’t be afraid to push for your health. If something doesn’t sound right or you have questions, speak up! Yes, doctors are professionals, but they’re human, too. We all make mistakes. Last, support cancer research. It will only be through research that we will ever find answers to fight this disease that takes so many.

ABOUT KELLY RISSER:

Kelly Risser knew at a young age what she wanted to be when she grew up. Unfortunately, Fairytale Princess was not a lucrative career. Leaving the castle and wand behind, she entered the world of creative business writing where she worked in advertising, marketing, and training at various companies.

She's often found lamenting, "It's hard to write when there's so many good books to read!" So, when she's not immersed in the middle of someone else's fantasy world, she's busy creating one of her own. This world is introduced in her first novel, Never Forgotten. Never Forgotten, a YA/NA Fantasy, will be released by Clean Teen Publishing in the Summer of 2014.

Kelly lives in Wisconsin with her husband and two children. They share their home with Clyde the Whoodle and a school of fish.

A new kind of publishing...

CLEAN TEEN PUBLISHING
A New Kind of Publishing

Clean Teen Publishing is a new Indie publishing company that publishes Young Adult and New Adult fiction. Clean Teen Publishing opened their doors in late February of 2013 and has since developed an amazing portfolio of talented best-selling and award-winning authors. Clean Teen Publishing will be feeding your reading addiction for years to come with their numerous Young Adult and New Adult books. Read more below to find out what makes Clean Teen Publishing unique:

What Makes Clean Teen Publishing Different For Readers?

One of the things that makes Clean Teen Publishing stand out from the crowd is their trademark rating system. All Young Adult genre books that are newly published through Clean Teen Publishing contain a content rating and full disclosure. This content rating is based on the following: Romance, Language, Violence and Drug/Alcohol Abuse. At Clean Teen Publishing, they believe that their readers deserve to know ahead of time what they are reading. They do not believe in censorship; they believe in the right to know. Every reader, no matter what their age is, has certain boundaries they don't want to cross. Currently there is no consistent rating system in place for books like there are for movies, music and video games. Clean Teen Publishing believes that by offering a wider range of disclosure about the content of their books, they will give readers of all ages and parents, a stronger sense of comfort according to what lies between the pages.

With that said, they will not deem whether a book is appropriate or inappropriate for any particular age range. Their disclosure is simply for you to know what is in the book and we leave it up to you to decide what you are comfortable with reading.

ASK THE PUBLISHER:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION: "Your name is Clean Teen, doesn't that mean that every book you have is clean?" ~Reader

ANSWER: "Our name is Clean Teen Publishing because we liked the name and because we wanted to make a unique name for ourselves within the publishing industry by utilizing our content rating system. We can't define the term 'Clean Teen' because clean could mean different things to different people. Instead, what we can do is offer you full disclosure of what is included in our books. With that said, we do advise that you utilize this disclosure if you are looking for books that are moderate in content because some of our books may have mature themes. One nice thing is that you will never be surprised with the content in our books, because the full disclosure is at your fingertips."  ~CTP Crew

What Makes Clean Teen Publishing Different For Authors?
"Now that your book is finished, let your story begin…"

At Clean Teen Publishing, we believe our authors, who create new and amazing literary worlds, deserve to receive a large share of the profits that their art creates. We also believe that our authors deserve the support of quality editing, breathtaking covers and the power of a strong marketing presence behind them. As authors ourselves, we know that your writing comes from your heart and, in a sense, is a part of you. We will carefully protect that part of you and work hard to keep your creative vision alive. We strive to be different and unique in the publishing industry. Some of the complaints  that we have heard about from authors is that their publishing house is hard to get ahold, that it takes too long to get a book published, that they aren't treated the same as other "best-selling" authors in the house. This is where Clean Teen Publishing and Crimson Tree Publishing is different. We like to think of our authors as part of our family. Our team is available daily to answer questions, to provide support and guidance and to be your biggest fan. Our authors work together and provide support and feedback to each other. If you are looking for a new home for you next novel, we recommend you review our author feedback on our website and on our Facebook page.

Clean Teen Publishing is currently accepting submissions for Young Adult and New Adult novels. We are looking for well written YA (young adult) or NA (new adult) novels that are between 50,000 and 100,000 words. We are looking for something unique and breathtaking. For more information on our submission guidelines, check out: http://www.cleanteenpublishing.com/submissions.html

Are you our next Clean Teen or Crimson Tree Publishing Author?

Also check out our Adult Fiction Imprint:

Crimson Tree Publishing is open for submissions. We are looking for unique New Adult and Adult fiction. We generally prefer fiction with some sort of romantic element in the storyline. While we accept stand-alone books, our ideal submission would be the first two books in a series or a novel and a novella that is a prequel to the novel. We are looking for something unique and breathtaking. Please note that while this is our adult imprint of Clean Teen Publishing, we still prefer manuscripts that are not heavy on sexual content, violence or language. For information on how to submit to Crimson Tree Publishing, please view our submission guidelines at:

Never in her wildest dreams could she have imagined what she'd find in the terrifying world of The Warlord—death at every turn, but also a love stronger than time itself.

In order to escape Terratir, Lauren, Zach, and their newfound friends, must complete the impossible quest for the Eye of Tanúb, a relic of immense power, which The Warlord has already stolen for himself.

READ AN EXCERPT:

We leaped at the same time, reaching simultaneously, but Zach was a hair closer, and the chain of the medallion rolled, like magic, over his finger. My nails dug into his T-shirt, because I hadn't lost yet, and I tried to pull him back.

And that was when it happened. That was when this story really began, and our lives changed.

Forever.

In the split second between me grabbing Zach's shirt and his clenching the medallion in his fist, a light flashed. And I mean blindingly bright. Like lightning. And it filled the room, filled us. I felt the charge, as though I'd stuck my finger into a socket and defibrillated myself. The pain—unbearable for at least five seconds—coursed through me. Then tornado-like winds whipped past my face, blowing my waist-long, gorgeous blonde hair all around us.

And then we were falling.

Fast.

I could barely open my eyes, and Zach’s cheeks were billowing out like a blowfish's. I would have laughed if I could have. And then the ground appeared. And I mean... it just appeared. Out of nowhere. I kid you not.

It rushed up toward us, my screams following us through the air. And just when I knew it was all over, I threw my arms in front of my face, hoping to protect one part of my body, so I'd at least be identifiable, and hopefully have an open-casket funeral.
